Patriot Worlds of Fun introduced Patriot in 2006 as the park's 6th coaster and still largest investment to date. The Patriot is designed by Bolliger & Mabillard of Switzerland. Patriot is largest inverted coaster in the region, featuring a total lift height of 149 feet. Riders board one of the ride's two inverted-style trains, commonly compared to ski lift cars as riders legs dangle below the track. Riders are then hoisted up Patriot's 149 foot lift hill and dropped 123 feet down, reaching a maximum speed of 60 MPH. After being dropped riders are then thrown through the rides' four inversions including a 89 foot vertical loop, a Zero Gravity Roll, a twisted Immelmann Loop, and finally a corkscrew element. Also thrown into the mix of 3,081 feet of twisted track are an inclined banked curve, s-curve and high speed spiral.

To date Patriot is only the 2nd inverted coaster in Missouri (following Batman at Six Flags St. Louis). The term "inverted coaster" refers to the fact that riders ride below the track, and their legs are allowed to dangle free. Take a look at the 2006 Patriot Construction Photo Gallery.
